Occasionally for a variety of reasons companies need additional or interim sales management and development resource.

Nelsons were investing in a new ERP computer system. This was a 12 month project involving selected senior managers seconded from each business discipline to operate on a full time basis as part of the ERP Project Team who’s task it was to ensure that the new system met all business requirements and went live on time.

The Sales & Marketing Partnership Ltd were asked to come in and provide interim sales management and development for two key sales roles:

1. National Sales Manager where there was a team of eight, four Area Managers and four Tele Sales Executives

2. National Account Controller Grocery, where there was a team of four National Account Managers responsible for accounts including Tesco, Amazon, Superdrug and Holland & Barrett.

Both roles carried the responsibilities typical for roles of this kind including the setting and delivery of sales budgets, field training, running sales meetings, staff recruitment, attending internal management meetings plus the direct management of the Sainsburys account.

Our expertise and experience of managing sales teams and major retail accounts meant that we were able seamlessly take over the management and development of the Nelsons business allowing the ERP Project Team to focus on implementing the new system.
